Booms and sweeps are part of the essential equipment to clean up oil in fresh or seawater spills.

These unique Single Skin boom became the industry’s gold standard throughout the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. The new F-Boom is destined to become the new standard by which all other booms absorption performance is measured. All our booms offer significantly better performance that traditional Sock-in-Net Booms.

The new F-Boom is in a league of its own. It offers significant improvements in absorbency thanks to very, very fine continuous meltblown fibres that are carefully blown for this exact application; no random scrap is used at all. Constructed with a single outer mesh, the oil can now reach the highly absorbent core delivering up to 50% more absorption when compared to the traditional Sock-in-Net Booms.

The booms are 13cm in diameter and 3m in length, there are 4 booms contained within the clear plastic bag. Running along the boom’s length is a tough nylon rope, these are fitted with high quality rust proofed metal rings and snap hooks. These enable a number of booms to be fastened together to create a continuous longer length.
